The Project

The project involved replacement of the roof coverings on this Victorian terraced house in York, along with re-pointing of the external facades and reconstruction of one of the chimney stacks.
The roof areas were stripped and re-covered using reclaimed Welsh slates. A chimney stack to the rear was removed below roof level and slated over and the front chimney stack which was shared with the adjoining property was taken down and rebuilt.
The front and side elevations of the property were also re-pointed as part of the scheme using a lime mortar.
An external redecoration schedule was also undertaken whilst safe working access was available.
