The Materials

The handmade clay plain tiles were replaced with new Goxhill handmade clay plain tiles and a number of the details were improved.

The Project

The project involved the replacement of the existing roof coverings on a circular tower that forms an addition to the existing property.
As the roof structure was curved most of the tiles had to be cut by hand as the roofing work progressed making this an extremely technical and challenging project.
The existing pantiled roof that joined the new roof covering was separated by way of a bespoke lead bonding gutter and a date stamped hopper head was installed to improve the existing outlet detail. A new lead sheet roof covering was installed on the turret in order to complete the project.
