Location: The Ryde House, Skelton, York
Materials Used: The handmade clay plain tiles were replaced with new Goxhill handmade clay plain tiles and a number of the details were improved
Trades involved:
Project Description: This project involved the removal of the existing roof covering which had reached the end of its useful life. The roof areas were then re-covered in new Sandtoft Arcadia pantiles to provide a ‘like for like’ replacement of the existing roof covering. Attention to detail was important to our client, a slate eave was installed and lead was used to alter the original details to make them more functional and avoid small cut tiles. In conjunction with the works an original chimney stack was reinstated in place of a stainless steel flue as it was more in keeping with the property.
