Project Description:
The roof coverings on this property were reaching the end of their useful life and our client chose to have the roof completely replaced, inclusive of new timber battens and vapour permeable underlay. The existing slates were carefully checked and sorted following removal, and those that were in good condition were reused on the new roof. Shortages of slates were made up with reclaimed slates to match, supplied by The Reclaimed Company. The existing hip and ridge tiles were re-fixed mechanically to comply with building regulations, and then neatly pointed in cement mortar to maintain the character of the property. The existing fascias, soffits and guttering were also replaced as part of this scheme, and a new Velux roof window was installed to provide light in the loft storage area.
