Project Duration / Client 6 months / Smiths Gore (now Savills Smiths Gore)
Project Description: As part of the Highways Agency’s work to expand the A1, Leases Hall was put out to tender for roofing and lead work. Smiths Gore selected us as contractors for this Grade II listed building having worked with us before and knowing the high quality of our work.
This project was very extensive and covered the following elements: re-roofing eight roofs with reclaimed Welsh slates, rebuilding several chimney stacks, lead gutters, flat roofs, bay tops, and flashings. This project threw up many challenges and unforeseen issues, but all were dealt with efficiently and in a timely fashion.
The Hall can be seen from the A1 at the Leeming Bar junction.
One of our best jobs for overall quality and array of elements undertaken.
