Project Details
GNR was contracted to replace the roof coverings on this substantial detached property in York.
The aesthetics of the property were important to our client and the brief was to provide a like for like replacement using a new roof tile.
Our suggestion of an Imerys Panne S roof tile was well received and a specification for the work was provided.
The existing tiles and battens were removed along with the existing clay ridge tiles.
All of the lead flashings and valley linings were also removed to allow replacement.
The new tiles were installed on new battens and a new breathable membrane.
All of the leadwork was replaced as part of the work.
Traditional details at the verges were mirrored to match the previous detailing.
New bedded hips and ridges were installed to complete a successful re roofing project.
