The Project
A fairly comprehensive scheme of work was requested by the client on Bootham in central York, as the roof had reached the end of its useful life. The work comprised our re-roofing both high-level elevations, renewing lead work to the two dormers, addressing the rear roof-light’s leaking, insulation, rebuilding of a chimney stack, and supplying a new lead-lined timber gutter.
Whilst this represented a lot of work, it is all very standard for our team, who finished the work in good time. The pantiles at the rear and plain tiles at the front were all replaced with new like-for-like. We clad both dormers in new lead to provide a traditional and attractive finish, as the client felt the dormers were both in need of improving aesthetically.
