The Project

This project involved the complete replacement of the roof coverings and other external refurbishment works to a large townhouse in Camden, London.
The chimney stacks were taken apart and reconstructed as necessary: redundant flues were capped; flues serving open fires in the property were tested and rain caps installed so that they could remain fully operational. The previous roof coverings were removed from all roof areas, and replaced with reclaimed Welsh slates and Sarnafil perimeter gutters. The end result represented a vast improvement on the original coverings.
All of the lead work to several different areas was replaced, in accordance with Lead Sheet Association guidelines, in conjunction with our other work at the property. The new lead bay top window was another part of the requested lead works, and serves equally as well as the new roof to improve the building’s overall aesthetics.
