|Project overview:||The roof coverings on this historic Church were completely removed; the timber roof structure was inspected and repaired as necessary.
Much of the stonework was inspected and isolated repairs and replacement was carried out in conjunction with the process which included complete reconstruction of the chimney stack from the building’s boiler room. The existing cast iron guttering was removed, sand blasted, prepared and painted before being reinstated on the church.
All of the leadwork was replaced using sand cast lead and an area which had previously been stolen was replaced with a stainless steel roof covering. As part of the contract a specialist stained glass restoration company was instructed to overhaul some of the existing decorative windows.
GNR managed the entire scheme from start to finish and took responsibility for all elements of work whether carried out by us or one of our approved sub-contractors.
