Bar Convent Museum, York
A major renovation project at York’s historic Bar Convent Museum features a new roof, supplied and fitted by Geoff Neal Roofing Limited.
The work involved stripping away the Bar Convent's old roof covering, keeping as many sound, original slates as possible, before recovering it using matching slates where necessary to retain the roof's original appearance. The building's substantial lead gutter linings were also replaced, including several decorative and ornamental lead features. Refurbished decorative stonework and a full clean of the Bar Convent's exterior completed the project.
